Justin Nsenga is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo; he came to the United States in 2004. Justin is the Director and Co-Founder of Partners for Refugee Empowerment; a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing mental health needs of refugees.
Justin worked as a news reporter for five years in Rwanda, Africa. He has worked with refugees in different capacities for the last ten years; done several presentations about refugee mental health and is an advocate for social justice. Justin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the National University of Rwanda and a Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health and Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in Psychology with a specialization in Trauma and Disaster Relief at Northcentral University.
